Speaking has always been a natural gift and a deep passion for Donte. Many would describe him as a people's person and his ability to inspire others is evident in every interaction. While it may seem predestined for him to become a motivational speaker, Donte’s journey to embracing God’s plan for his life was paved with significant obstacles and disappointments.
LIFE CHALLENGES
Donte faced numerous challenges throughout his early years:

His mother was a teenager (15)

His mother battled drug addiction and a developed a criminal history.

He experienced homelessness and lived in shelters.

After being removed from his family, he was placed in foster care.

He grew up in a fatherless home, only meeting his biological father at the age of 31.

He struggled as a troubled student, facing disciplinary issues.

He endured verbal, physical, and sexual abuse.

He grew up in poverty-stricken neighborhood rife with drugs and crime, that resulted in him getting involved in criminal activity.

He dropped out of college after facing numerous setbacks.
These life obstacles filled Donte with anger, feelings of abandonment, and disappointment, ultimately affecting his decision-making. Poor choices led to instability, unemployment, homelessness, and dropping out of college. At the age of 25, Donte reached a defining crossroad in his life. Inspired by the Christian foundation instilled in him by his grandmother, Christine Sheppard, and his family and friends, he decided to change his path. He realized that God had greater plans for his life and knew he had to make crucial changes in his surroundings and relationships.
TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY
Twelve years later, those changes have yielded tremendous dividends. Donte, graduated from college, excelling career-wise, and impactful in his community. Now he shares his testimony with diverse groups and audiences. His mission is to empower others to take control of their lives, make necessary adjustments, and maximize their potential.
EDUCATION
Donte holds a Master’s Degree in Communication and Leadership from the University of West Florida. He is a dynamic public speaker, an accomplished strategist, and a skilled facilitator with a profound understanding of effective communication and leadership techniques.
